The Challenge

The problem

Bible memory and quiz practice lived in PDFs, printed packs, and one-off games. Families needed a place to study daily, coaches needed leaderboards and progress, and the congregation wanted something kids would actually open on a phone.

Key issues

  • • Study content scattered across print and static files
  • • No shared daily habit or fair scoring for challenges
  • • Coaches lacked a single hub for library, streaks, and standings
  • • Mobile web alone was not enough for a daily ritual

What success looked like

  • ✓ One branded home: today's challenge, library, leaderboards
  • ✓ Games that feel like practice — flashcards, quizzes, Memory Pack
  • ✓ Streaks and points that keep kids coming back
  • ✓ Native iOS/Android path for the daily challenge

The Solution

BraddCorp built Pew Packers as a full study product: Next.js web app with Clerk accounts, Turso-backed progress, a daily Chapter Challenge, and native apps so the habit can live on the home screen.

Pew Packers daily chapter challenge

Daily Chapter Challenge

Fair timer, 100-point scoring, Central Time streaks, and flame tiers that grow with consistency — shareable streak cards for the fridge and group chat.

Pew Packers library and leaderboards

Study library

Old and New Testament books with flashcards, quizzes, chapter challenge, Memory Pack, and presentation mode for classroom or family nights.

Coach-first home

Daily challenge up top, study library and leaderboards on one screen — fewer taps to start studying.

Memory Pack & present mode

Spaced-repetition flashcards with saved progress; fullscreen decks with timed advance and a promo end slide.

Accounts & profiles

Clerk sign-in, profile photos on Vercel Blob, activity history, and admin tools for users and site features.

Native + shareable

iOS/Android apps for the daily habit; branded Open Graph cards so every game and PDF link looks right when shared.

Built for phones

Pew Packers on mobile

Pinned mobile chrome, dark/light mode, and navy–cream–amber branding so study time feels like a product kids recognize — not a leftover church website.

  • ✓ Bottom tab bar + sticky theme/account controls
  • ✓ Streak flames on home and nav
  • ✓ PDF share links that open clean previews
